We have both full-time and student position available in the QDBench project.
You will be researching and developing agentic AI support for scientific research workflows as well as small individual tools and functions to be used by the AI through an MCP server.
Full-time positions are salaried at the TV-L E13 level. The position is suitable to acquire a doctoral title (Ph.D.) at FAU Erlangen and/or create a startup from the work. You can come in to our offices in Berlin or Erlangen or work from home (almost) 100% of the time. (We are a remote-first institute.)

You will be contributing to the QDBench project by developing scientific research tools and support the development of an AI harness for scientific workflows, together with full-time employees and Prof. Riehle.
The job is perfect to learn about science and position yourself for a later full-time position in the team. You can perform your Bachelor or Master thesis with us and if so desired, advance to doctoral (Ph.D.) studies. Student salaries are competitive with industry.
